I was at Batam recently for a short getway and also to celebrate Valentine's day. Being massage/spa fanatics, both me and my wife were eager to try out the latest SPA that Batam have to offer coupled with our very strong Singapore dollars.
We had checked out Secret Spa two years ago and while it was very valued for money, the massage didn't leave me very satisfied. The masseuse left me for long period of time without any explanation and the massage wasn't strong enough.
This time, we checked out Martha Tilaar. I noticed it was relatively new and very highly rated. In fact, it is the 3rd highest rated SPA in Batam. I booked a slot on Friday afternoon (Saturday was fully booked) so you might need to book in advance. The booking was done over email very efficiently and there is even a Whatsapp reminder before the day of the booking.
The location of is very good, right smack in the very popular Nagoya mall and wide variety of Hotels. You can do your shopping and feasting before or after the message.
First up, the service is impeccable. Most of our small request was fulfilled was a smile and prompt over email. They even helped me with directions over whatsapp on how to get to the spa.
The decoration was beautiful with smoothing spa music. I think it is nicely than Secret Spa. Mostly wooden funishing with stone pebble floors in some parts. This is the couple room which we got.
A spa environment like this will probably cost a few hundred dollars in Singapore!
Massage was great. The masseuses were attentive and ask if we were comfortable with the pressure applied during the massage. I chose a traditional Indonesia massage so it was mostly long and deep running strokes on the body. After the massage, we got to use the Jacuzzi for 15 minutes and it was big enough to fit both of us! Love it personally! For the ladies you might want to V-Ratus treatment. My wife say it is awesome and her GFs love it too when she introduce it to them. This is the treatment description on their website.

I had a 90 minute aromatherapy massage and my wife had a 2 hour "Ken Dedes Princess Ritual" and we paid around $45 dollar each. Very valued for money! Highly recommend this place!
